Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SquadSync platform and related services provided by Lay Group Labs LLC, doing business as LayerCraft ("we," "us," or "our"). By using our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

SquadSync is a workforce management platform for restaurant organizations. The platform provides tools for employee scheduling, time and attendance tracking, shift swaps and open-shift coordination, time-off management, team messaging, and automated notifications across one or more locations.

2. User Accounts and Access

Access to the platform is provided through employee accounts. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. SMS and Email Notifications

Our platform sends work-related alerts and notifications via SMS and email to employees who have opted in. By providing your contact information and enabling notifications, you consent to receive these communications.

• Program name: SquadSync Workforce Notifications.
• Message Types: Shift schedule notifications, open shift offers, shift swap requests and approvals, time-off request updates, and time clock reminders. Certain messages support replies (for example, CLAIM to take an offered shift, or APPROVE/DENY for managers responding to swap requests).
• Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your schedule and workplace activity. Typically 0–5 messages per day.
• Opt-In: You opt in by adding your mobile number and enabling SMS notifications in your SquadSync account settings. When SMS is first enabled, you will receive a confirmation message with opt-out instructions.
• Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any SMS message to unsubscribe, or disable SMS notifications in your account settings.
• Costs: Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.
• Help: Reply HELP to any SMS message for assistance, or contact andy@laygroupstl.com.

SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of employment.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the platform only for its intended purpose of workforce management. You may not attempt to access data from locations or accounts you are not authorized to view, share credentials with unauthorized individuals, or use the platform for any unlawful, abusive, or harassing purpose. Communications sent through SquadSync team messaging may be automatically screened for safety (threats, harassment, malicious links) and reviewed by workspace administrators.

5. Data and Content

Workforce data entered into the platform (schedules, time records, etc.) is owned by the employer organization. We maintain and secure this data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of our platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lay Group Labs LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the services in the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles.
