SquadSync Privacy Policy

SquadSync is a workforce management platform operated by Lay Group Labs LLC ("LayerCraft," "we," "us"). This policy describes what information we collect from users of SquadSync, how we use it, and the choices you have. SquadSync is used by businesses to manage employee scheduling, time tracking, and team communication; most users are employees of those businesses.

Information we collect

We collect information you or your employer provide when creating and using your account: name, email address, mobile phone number, job role and location, work schedule and availability, time clock punches, and messages sent within the platform. We also collect standard technical information such as device type and log data needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your information

We use your information to operate SquadSync: building and displaying schedules, recording worked time, delivering notifications you have enabled (in-app, email, or SMS), facilitating shift swaps and time-off requests, and maintaining the security of the platform. We do not sell your personal information.

SMS / text messaging

If you add your mobile phone number and enable SMS notifications in your account settings, we will send you text messages related to your work, such as shift reminders, open shift offers, shift swap requests and approvals, and time-off updates. You can reply to certain messages to take actions such as claiming a shift. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. SMS consent is optional and is not a condition of employment.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with vendors who assist us in delivering text messages (such as our SMS provider), solely for that purpose.

Sharing

Your workplace information (such as schedules and time records) is visible to your employer and its managers as part of operating the platform. We share personal information only with service providers who help us run SquadSync (such as hosting, email, and SMS delivery vendors), when required by law, or with your consent.

Data retention and security

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to comply with legal obligations (for example, wage and hour recordkeeping). We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information.

Your choices

You can update your profile and notification preferences, including disabling SMS, at any time in your account settings. To request access to or deletion of your personal information, contact us at the address below; note that some records may be controlled by your employer or retained as required by law.
